The final she-bang for the boys' birthday parties occurred over the last few weeks - starting with Kaleb's special day - we took him to the Zoomair up at Sanford along with DeAnna and John Mark - they had a great time up there! It truly was a lot of fun, and even his brother Zachary was quite pleased that Kaleb chose that as his special outing!

| Getting ready to go - even Addison did the little kids' course! |
 |
| zipline |
 |
| Zachary doing the zipline next |
 |
| Walking along to the next obstacle - talking very excitedly about which had been the hardest so far! |
 |
| She conquered the course! |
 |
| All thumbs up afterwards for sure! |
Miss Maria then gave the boys an extra treat by letting them do some of the extra activities outside, they had a grand time trying to do flips on the trampoline and running in the plastic balls! So much harder than you think!
We had a very special treat at John and Maria's house a few weeks back for a special Friday vespers - they are very musical and had friends that are equally musical, and it was a great experience. Zachary sang along with gusto!
The birthday celebrations culminated in the rock climbing party at Aiguille gym here in town. We got periodically and have really enjoyed the experience and watching the boys get more climbing skills and progress. They had a BLAST at the party and have been begging to go again!

| Even Mr. Abel got into the action! |
 |
| The blue glasses is just perfect! |
 |
| This cake was all kinds of messed up, Amy couldn't put the candles on properly and the icing 11 is backwards to the name. Oh well! |

That Sunday night (it was a busy Sunday!) we headed over to the Nancy Drew play - which we all enjoyed very much. Zachary has been reading a ton of Nancy Drew lately, and so this was one that even he was looking forward to!
 |
| Now that Addison was brave enough to go up for Curious George, she is willing to go up with the group to get a picture! |
Amy took the day off for a special field trip to Epcot last Friday. The day was BLAZING HOT and HUMID. Unbelievable. We had a lovely time, but it truly was crazy hot. Thankfully we had several fast passes (thanks to Jennifer!) and were able to get most of the rides that we wanted to go on before we wilted in the heat - sat down for ice cream and then decided to heat on home

| Amy, Grandma, and the kids! |
 |
| Going through the ball ride.... |
 |
| And the "land" ride in honor of Daddy! |
 |
| We hung out with the Biris and Bergherms that day |
 |
| Such cool sunglasses (Thanks Grandma!) |
 |
| Wow - got to meet some characters! |
 |
| Even London came up! |
They had a lovely butterfly exhibit there, which was really neat because you could see the chrysalis, and some of them were gently moving as if the newly formed butterflies were trying to get out. It was very intriguing (although the enclosure was basically a sauna, it was so hot!)
 |
| With flowers like these, it is definitely blog-worthy! |
 |
| Surrogate Daddy for the day! |
 |
| Proof that it was 97 degrees - already in mid-May - miserable! |
Random pictures:

| Mr. John is 6 feet 7 inches - that is a tall perch up there! |

Phrase of the week: Amy was driving to drop the kids off one day and the conversation turned to the fact that as you get into puberty, you will start to notice and "like" the opposite sex. Then somehow the conversation continued to morph...
Child: What are the words that you use when you want to ask to have sex?
Amy: Well, you ONLY have sex when you're married!
Child: Exasperated - I know mom! But how do you ask?
Amy: "Umm....dodge, dodge, dodge - avoiding the answer at all costs....
Then, somehow it turns to the wedding night and whether you'd have sex the night of your wedding. Amy responds that typically that is what happens on your wedding night. The child is amazed and gasps "WHAT? Really!" As if this is unfathomable.
Child #2 - How is it again that you have sex?
Amy: We've already had this conversation - don't you remember (last year, Karis and Amy sat down with both boys and had "the talk" with them."
Child #2 - Oh yeah, I just forgot. Well, I guess that means that my "xxxx" has to go into her "yyyy".
Amy: "Yes, that is how it works:
Child #2 - "Yikes, I'm a little scared, I sure hope she doesn't close it on me."
Amy: Desperately trying not to laugh, tries to reassure him that there is nothing to fear and that she cannot "close" it on him. ha ha ha - where do these things come from?
