First day of FLEC

After attending 5 years at Champion Prep, Zachary decided that this year he wanted to go to FLEC SDA school and so we took the leap. Kaleb wasn't quite ready to switch over, but Zach was pretty excited as he was going to be in the same class as Cristian and Luke, two friends that he really likes.  We really enjoy his teacher Mrs. Fisher, so we are quite thankful that we were blessed with a wonderful first experience!

Even the morning routine hasn't been that bad - we have had to be out of the house by 7:40, which is earlier than we normally have, so it was something Amy was dreading, but she gets the kids up at 6:50 (thanks to new light alarm clocks!) and the mornings have been very calm and orderly so far!  Whew!  So thankful!

Our friends Rob and Lisa bought a new house on Bear Lake, and invited us over a few weeks back.  The kids had a great time playing on the water - super fun!

Now that Addison is big enough to really start joining in on the extracurricular activities, our life continues to get busier!  She is now doing both gymnastics and ballet on Wednesday mornings.  She loves it and is starting to do twirls and leaps etc.  Super cute!

Anyone who has been to our house knows that we have a noise problem in our dining room, and have solved it with a huge brown piece of felt on the wall for years.....well we finally took the dive and got an interior decorator to help us out.  We're still in the midst of finishing, so we'll take pictures of it when it is done but the wainscoting (with the insets actually being sound panels) went up.  Addison was happy to help paint it!  it works pretty well!

When Zachary was about 3-4 years old, Amy's old boss Paul gave us their son's Thomas the Train table.  The boys had a blast over the years with the trains, but now at 9 and 11, and with Addison more interested in dolls, we decided it was time to pay it forward.  We passed it on to an old coworker of Amy's at AHS - Stefani, who has a son that is about 2.  We hope Knox has as much fun as we did with it over the years!  Enjoy!

Addison's birthday & No Training Wheels!

We're not sure if we should sit in a chair and boo-hoo, or if we should celebrate......but our little girl has just turned 5 - a whole hand old!  Where did our baby go?  She has been a delight for the past 5 years, so fully of personality and sweetness - both a girly princess and a tough tomboy - all wrapped up in a cute bundle with two adorable dimples.  We love you Addison!

This year the big she-bang was at Crayola Experience.  It was very fun, and easy of course!  Addison had been asking for her birthday to be there ever since she attended Madison H's birthday there back in January!

Super cute cake courtesy of Miss Jennifer with Sweet Expectations Bakery!
Addison even was able to help make the batter!

She helped dream up the crayon cake, so she had fun with Miss Jennifer!

The kids had a blast doing all of the activities related to coloring, they thought it was great fun!

Waiting to eat some pizza!

Two guards to make sure no-one escapes the room! :)

Sweet moment with Grandma

Awesome friends - so happy to do this together with friends!

She's always posing!

One last picture of the birthday girl outside Crayola Experience!
As always, we had a family birthday party as well, and Grandma outdid herself with making a rainbow cake - complete with layers of the rainbow colors inside!  Amazing!

On Addison's actual birthday, Amy took the day off and we went to First Watch with the Js and then to Science Center for some fun!

So happy to spend the day with these kiddos!

Umm, not so sure about petting this particular animal! :)

Opening her presents from Mom and Dad

In other major news, Addison decided taht she wanted to learn how to ride her bike like the big boys - with no training wheels!  In typical Z fashion, we left it until they expressed an interest and so it was easy-peasy - in fact she never actually fell!  She is so proud of herself!

Rock solid girl!
